Bend, Oregon - November 15, 2007: While other mortgage brokers close up shop Citywide Mortgage unveiled a new identity - Welcome To M - to mark the company's recent changes and growth.
"We've all heard the news that the mortgage industry is struggling right now, but it would be short-sighted to think that the industry is going to collapse completely," said Carol Hollowell, a CMPS Consultant and new owner of Welcome To M. "We approach mortgages differently than other brokers. We view them as an investment, one that should grow your wealth, not drain it. I wanted a new image to reflect our uniqueness and Welcome To M does exactly that."
Many people think of the home buying process as nerve-wracking and fraught with agents and brokers trying to take advantage of the home buyer. Especially with the recent waves of home foreclosures and people defaulting on their mortgages, there is a lot of confusion, fear and uncertainty about the future, Hollowell said.
"Too many people have been taken advantage of by real estate agents and mortgage brokers trying to make a fast buck during the recent housing boom," Hollowell said. "It makes the entire industry look bad, so we had to do something, especially now, to fight that popular misconception."
